European Central Bank announces an updated timeline for reporting under the IReF

The European Central Bank has published a press release regarding an updated timeline for the harmonized reporting under the Integrated Reporting Framework (IReF). IReF reporting is currently planned to start in the fourth quarter of 2029. A detailed implementation plan is due to be released in late 2025, and it will take account of the lead time required by reporting agents and the Eurosystem to prepare the necessary legal and technical framework.
