Information Technology Department

Tasks

Provides Latvijas Banka with the information system and electronic service needed for its operation and the creation, maintenance and development of Latvijas Banka's information system infrastructure and security engineering systems.

Structure of the department

Bank Information System Development Division

Develops and maintains the bank's information system Transact (Globus system) as well as provides support, training and advice to its users.

Infrastructure Solutions Division

• develops and maintains a state-of-the-art, safe and universally available systems infrastructure, 
• manages the registration of the users of systems infrastructure and information systems and their usage rights

Cyber Security Division

Analyses the most urgent internal and external threats that may affect information systems, systems infrastructure and security engineering systems.

System Design and Development Division

• designs, develops, improves and maintains information systems,
• provides support, training and advice to their users,
• provides technological support to the development of ideas supported under the innovations implemented by Latvijas Banka and of Latvijas Banka's websites

Computer Systems Support Division

• develops and maintains hardware, office equipment, telephone systems, television systems as well as standard software,
• provides support, training and advice to users,
• ensures accounting and storage of the technical supplies that the Information Technology Department is in charge of as well as the control of software licence use

Engineering and Technical Security Systems Division

Develops and maintains a state-of-the-art, safe and universally available systems infrastructure.

Data Engineering Division

• designs, develops, improves and maintains the information systems and the components of the systems infrastructure needed for data analytics,
• ensures the introduction of data analytics resources, their maintenance and integration with other information systems
