Financial system analysis to identify and assess the systemic risks to the stability of Latvia's financial system;
performs the stress tests of credit institutions to assess their resilience to potential shocks;
prepares Financial Stability Reports and conducts other research and analytical tasks, inter alia recommends the measures needed to mitigate systemic risks;
develops macroprudential policy decisions and their justification.

Financial Stability Analysis Division
Performs financial stability analysis;
performs the stress tests of credit institutions;
prepares Financial Stability Reports and conducts other research and analytical tasks;
cooperates with external partners in the field of financial stability.
Macroprudential Policy Division
Develops macroprudential policy decisions and their justification;
puts forward proposals for improving the existing macroprudential regulatory requirements or for drafting new requirements (including in line with the changes introduced into the European Union legal acts).
