Other investment is classified by type of financial instrument: other equity; currency and deposits; loans; insurance, pension and standardised guarantees; trade credits and advances; Special Drawing Rights; other assets and other liabilities.
The definition of the concept is consistent with Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual (6th edition) of the International Monetary Fund.
