The Bank of Latvia announces the launching of a new internet statistical database INTS available on its website as of 7 March 2012. With this, the Bank of Latvia aims to provide users with modern, user friendly and adaptable means for data access, saving data requests and exporting data, as well as analysis of data using graphic tools.

The set of data published in the database will be gradually expanded. At this stage, the INTS (INTeractive Stastistics) contains data on the balance of payments, the international investment position, direct investment, external debt and effective exchange rates of the lats. The Bank of Latvia will also continue publication of these data in the section "Statistics/data room/Main indicators" for three months.

The Bank of Latvia compiles and publishes different statistics needed by different Latvian, European and international institutions, financial and other corporations, researchers and students and used for the purposes of monetary analysis and operational planning. The Bank's focus is banking and monetary statistics, interest rate statistics, balance of payments statistics and quarterly financial accounts. The section "Statistics" of the Bank of Latvia's website is currently used by about two thousand users.
