 In accordance with Article 93 of the Law "On Credit Institutions", banks entitled to accept private person deposits are obliged to publish their balance sheets as at the end of the first, second and third quarters in the newspaper Latvijas Vestnesis by May 1, August 1 and November 1, respectively.

Banks that at present are entitled to accept private person deposits are rated according to their equity as stated in the item "Equity" of their balance sheets of March 31, 1998 published in the newspaper Latvijas Vestnesis.
