Financial liabilities of an economy

Financial liabilities of an economy – sources of financial resources of an economy.

Financial liabilities are current obligations resulting from past transactions; the obligations involve a future repayment of financial resources, e.g. a borrowing from a bank or another lender to be repaid in a shorter or longer time period.

In financial accounts statistics, the financial liabilities of an economy are the total outstanding amounts of financial instrument liabilities.
