On 23 September 2014 Latvijas Banka publishes the quarterly financial accounts data for the second quarter of 2014 and revised data for the time period from the fourth quarter of 2012 to the first quarter of 2014 in accordance with the new Guideline of the ECB on the statistical reporting requirements of the ECB in the field of quarterly financial accounts (recast) (ECB/2013/24) (hereinafter, the Guideline) comprising the requirements of the new European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010).
The publication has been modified in accordance with the Guideline, the major changes being as follows:
- a new breakdown by sector and instrument which is compliant with the requirements laid down in Regulation (EU) No 549/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 May 2013 on the European system of national and regional accounts in the European Union (ESA 2010);
- new tables have been developed: "Other changes" and tables of counterparty sectors on deposits, securities and loans;
- the information on quarterly financial accounts under "Descriptions" has been updated.
As of 23 September 2014 the time of publishing quarterly financial accounts has been reduced to 85 calendar days following the end of the reference quarter (Data publishing calendar).
Quarterly financial accounts in line with the European System of Accounts 1995 (ESA 95) for the time period from the first quarter of 2004 to the first quarter of 2014 are available under "Statistics" on the website of Latvijas Banka.
