The Annual Report (ISSN 1407-1800*), the main publication on the Bank's activity, has been published in Latvian and English since 1992. This publication includes the annual financial statements, the Executive Board's report, as well as information on the monetary policy in relation to economic indicators, on developments in the banking sector and the supervision of credit institutions, on international co-operation and on the Bank's organizational structure. The Annual Report also contains the monetary policy calendar and appendixes which show monetary indicators, data from the Bank's balance sheet and profit and loss statement, as well as exchange rates for currencies.
As of 2009, the Bank of Latvia publishes the financial statements of the Bank of Latvia simultaneously with the publication of the Auditors' Report and prior to approving the Annual Report. The Bank of Latvia's financial statements provide a comprehensive overview of the safety, liquidity and structure of investment, broken down by currency, sector, rating, country of residence etc., as well as inform about financial risks and the performance results of the Bank of Latvia managing its foreign currency and gold reserves.
The financial statements, along with the report of the Board of the Bank of Latvia, information on the monetary policy in relation to economic indicators and on the Bank of Latvia operation, constitute the Annual Report of the Bank of Latvia, the major publication on the central bank operation.
