Effective Exchange Rates of the Lats
Effective exchange rates of the lats are the average weighted rates of the lats against
the currencies of Latvia's major trade partners. They are used to measure Latvia's competitiveness
on foreign markets and are expressed as nominal effective exchange rate and real effective
exchange rate indices of the lats.
Data are updated on the 5th day each month.
For the key principles of compiling statistical data, please refer to the
quarterly bulletin "Latvia's Balance of
Payments".
Since 05.06.2009 the statistical data on effective exchange rates of the lats are integrated in the Latvia's Balance of Payments Statistical Database.
