* Electronic money institutions, which in accordance with Section 11¹ (1) of the Credit Institution Law have informed the Bank of Latvia on the planned commencement of their business.

The list is formed with an aim to inform the public on those electronic money institutions, which do not have to obtain a licence (permission) issued by the Financial and Capital Market Commission and which in accordance with Section 11¹ (1) of the Credit Institution Law have informed the Bank of Latvia on the planned commencement of their business. The Bank of Latvia does not issue permission for such electronic money institutions' business commencement, does not perform their supervision and does not control their business compliance with laws and regulations. The Bank of Latvia collects payment statistics of these electronic payment institutions. Institutions, which have started to issue electronic money, are obligated to provide statistical data to the Bank of Latvia, and these institutions are entered in the list of monetary financial institutions maintained by the Bank of Latvia (http://www.bank.lv/lat/main/all/noract/stat_parskati/mon-stat/lrmonfiniestsaraksts/).
